Some Updates / New Folder Structure- Please Read!

Hi everyone!

First off, I'd like to apologize for the lack of updates- FireFoxxAyaneXOXO and I have been quite busy over the last couple months, so that's why we've been so quiet. But we're back and ready to kick our admin skills into full gear over the next few weeks as we do some major construction on the group!

First off, I'd like to announce that we'll be completely re-doing the folder structure for the group. We think it'll expedite the submission process a lot, as well as just being a better system for showing off member submissions.

The new folders will be as follows-

Features This folder is for the pieces we feel truly stand out! Only the best of the best are selected by admins and displayed here.
Lineart This folder is not for black and white pieces, sketches, or works in progress, only for completed lineart. There will be a separate folder for black and white submissions- if you have any questions about which category your piece fits into, pick the one you think works the best and add a note when you submit it.
Monochrome / Black and White This folder is not for lineart, only for completed monochrome or black and white pieces of any medium.
Comic Pages / Panels / Covers This folder is only for comic pages, comic strips or comic covers- reference sheets and general illustrations do not belong here! Please post those submissions into their respective folders. Of course, comics or graphic novels of any kind are welcome in this folder, including manga.
Sketches/Works in Progress This folder is not for lineart, only for sketches or other kinds of works in progress! Please note that we consider the following pieces "sketches"- pictures drawn on lined paper, dark/blurry scans, or pieces that are clearly unfinished at the time of submission.
Digital This folder is for any completed pieces of digital art- this includes 3-d models and photomanipulations. Please note that back and white as well as monochrome pieces have their own folder.
Traditional This folder is for any completed pieces of traditional art- please note that black and white as well as monochrome pieces have their own folder.
Mixed Media This folder is for any completed pieces of art that is done in more than one medium- please feel free to note an admin or put a comment in with your submission if you have any questions about whether or not your piece belongs in this category as opposed to the Digital or Traditional folders. Please note that black and white as well as monochrome pieces have their own folder.
Character Sheets / Character Bios This folder is only for character sheets, bios, or other kinds of character references, not for general illustrations, comic pages or covers, etc.
Literature Any kind of literature submissions belong in this folder.
Fan OCs We've received quite a few questions about Fan OCs, so we've made them their own folder- PLEASE submit all art containing fan OCs to this folder- it will make it much easier for us during the submission approval process!

Whew! Please familiarize yourself with the new folder rules- it makes our lives much easier if all submissions are sent to the right folders- that way, we don't have to reject and have you resubmit to the right folder, all we have to do is approve them!

Moving on to our next order of business-
FireFoxxAyaneXOXO and I have come to realize that this group has grown A LOT since it's infancy- which we're absolutely thrilled about! But with more members comes more submissions, which brings me to our second announcement-

We're now opening applications for administrative positions in the group!
Below is a little FAQ for anyone interested in applying- we haven't decided how many admins we're looking for, but most likely we'll need about 3-6.

Q: Wow, an administrative position? That sounds like it comes with a lot of work and responsibility, what do I have to do?
A: That's all up to you! Your duties can involve accepting / declining group submissions, responding to profile comments, writing journal entries, adding pieces to the "Featured" folder, and brainstorming ideas for contests- tell us what you're interested in doing, and we'll have a place for you!
Q: I've never moderated a group before, do I need any past experience to be an admin?
A: Nope! We welcome anyone to apply- past group experience is always a plus, but is definitely not necessary.
Q: Is there anything I do need to know about if I want to be an admin?
A: Yes- we require all admins to have a detailed understanding of the rules for each gallery folder, so they can accept / decline submissions appropriately. Submission approval / rejection is the biggest job for an admin, and is the most important- we need to make sure all submissions follow the group rules (which can be found on the profile page) and are submitted to the correct folder so we don't need to go back and move submissions around later.

Lastly, our final announcement-

Submissions will be closed for the next 2 weeks as we work to implement the new folder structure and move around all the pieces currently in the gallery.
This will be a MASSIVE undertaking, which is why we're opening submissions for admins now- we need all the help we can get!

As an addendum to this announcement, please note that once submissions re-open, they will be automatically rejected if they are submitted to the wrong folder or do not follow the group rules. This will make the approval / rejection process much quicker- feel free to send us a note or comment on the correspondence message for your submission if you don't know why your piece was declined, but know that we will no longer volunteer this information initially, as it becomes very time consuming to do so.
